Samuel A. Livesley, 90, of Charlestown, passed away peacefully Thursday, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice (Catlow) Livesley. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Samuel B. and Jessie R. (Balfour) Livesley. Mr. Livesley served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a passionate Boston Red Sox Fan and he enjoyed fishing. He is survived by four children, Mary A. Furci of Lincoln, Samuel J. Livesley and his wife Kathleen of Gloucester, Joseph J. Livesley and his wife Julie of Charlestown, and Alice J. Devine and her husband Steven of Cumberland; four grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Jillian,, and Joseph; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Alyson; and a sister Jessie Forte of Pennsylvania. The funeral will be 8:30 am Tuesday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Road, Charlestown. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are, Monday, 5-7 pm.
