Sammy "Mike Lister" Dearborn

Sammy Dearborn/Mike Lister, 57, of Charlestown, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2025. He was the son of Paul Lister and the late Patricia (Field) Kology.

Mike, or “Uncle Buck” as he was known to most, worked as a plumber for the University of Rhode Island. Like most people, most days he liked his job and his crew. He enjoyed the good ole days of lighting off fireworks for his family and friends, camping, and rockin’ out to his favorite band, AC/DC!

Mike was an avid sports fan—especially the Yankees and the 49ers—and he wasn’t afraid to tell you about it. To those who knew him best, Mike was sometimes stubborn, but he ruled with his heart. He was the best brother, the greatest friend, and the most fun uncle and cousin ever!

He leaves behind his siblings: Kimberly Turner-Rose and her husband Bill, Eva Lister-Theriault, and Joseph Kology; his aunt, Lisa Field; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is predeceased by Braden Kology, his stepfather; Bruce Turner—a special father figure in Mike’s life; and his brother, Daniel Lister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 19, 2025, from 5-7pm in Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI.
