S. Robert Resinger

S. Robert Resinger, 69, of South Kingstown, passed away August 14, 2017. He was the husband of Dianne R. (Lemieux) Resinger. Born in Philadelphia, PA, son of Dorothy Mahnks of Landsdale, PA and the late Robert Resinger. Bob Resinger was a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering as well as Bryant College with a MBA in business management. He was a seasoned executive for more than 30 years in technology and telecommunications. He held executive positions in general management, operations, sales, engineering, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Telco Systems, he held similar positions at other companies of which the most significant was Texas Instruments as general manager. Bob also helped establish two startups, Magnalink, an IP Company purchased by Telco Systems and Sphere Technology, a voice recognition company. Mr. Resinger was Lieutenant in the United States Navy and was an operations department head on a destroyer. Bob was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and a member of the Peace Dale Congregational Church. He obtained a black belt in Karate and always enjoyed the Narragansett Bay. Besides his wife he is survived by his children Jill Brutti and her husband Robert of South Kingstown, and Matthew J. Resinger and wife Rebecca of Richmond; grandchildren Bo Brutti, Benjamin Brutti, Christian Resinger, and Brandon Resinger; siblings James Resinger of PA and Pamela Mears of MD. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11am in Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia St, Peace Dale. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 20, from 5-7pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St.
