Ryan Rouillier

June 5, 1994 — June 28, 2025

Ryan N. Rouillier, 31, of Wakefield, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Providence, he was a son of Leon and Kimberly (Crealey) Rouillier and the brother of Connor Rouillier.

Ryan lived in Wakefield his whole life and graduated from South Kingstown High School. He received an associate’s degree from the Community College of Rhode Island. During this time, he made many friends and had lots of adventures, resulting in many epic stories. Camping, long-boarding, going to the beach and playing video games with friends were some of Ryan’s favorite pastimes. Although he hadn’t found his ideal occupation, he worked in restaurants, delivered pizza, cared for people in group homes, worked in a lumber yard, a distillery, did sales, and landscaping. He has T-shirts to prove it.

Above all, Ryan loved a good party and attended holiday and all of the family celebrations with enthusiasm. He enjoyed spending time with his family including his Aunt Bean (Janet Haddock) and his Aunt Jayme and Uncle Bob Gruessner. He looked forward to seeing his Haddock cousins, Devin (Haddock) Marcotte and Brad Haddock and his wife, Brittney. He also enjoyed his Gruessner cousins, Brian Gruessner and his wife, Vera, Laura McKay (Gruessner) and her husband Pete McKay. Brian and Vera have a daughter Grace, and Laura and Pete have children, Ellie and Eamon.

Many words could be used to describe Ryan. He was intelligent, charismatic, charming, loving, thoughtful, and kind. He could also be challenging, but he always stood his ground. He lived and died on his own terms.
