Russell O. Spud Mack

Russell O. “Spud” Mack Jr., 74, of Matunuck Schoolhouse Rd., passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at home. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie (Page) Mack; father of Dwayne, David, Donald and Douglas Mack; grandfather of eight; brother of Courtland, Christine and the late Maude. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Russell O. and Ada Rose (Jarvis) Mack. Spud worked as a union carpenter for over fifty years and as a lobsterman out of Galilee. He enjoyed his passion of farming for many years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home and Hospice, 143 Main St., Wakefield, RI 02879.
