Rudolph Alexander

April 18, 1981 — January 26, 2023

On January 26, 2023, Rudolph Valentino “Nippawus Papoose” Alexander (Nip), of Richmond Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly. He was 41 years old.


He was born on April 18, 1981 to Clayton Alexander and Vickie Lamphere. Nip was a proud member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. He was very devoted to his family. heritage, spirituality and connection to the higher power, which were all very important to him.


Nip was proud to be a stonemason learning skills from his father which were passed down from prior generations. Recently “Nip” worked as a professional gym equipment technician throughout the states.


His hobbies included drawing, writing, cooking, and spending time outdoors camping and fishing. Nip had a passion for music and was a very talented singer.


He will be remembered as a kind-hearted happy individual, who was always there to help others

Nip was a loving father who will be missed dearly by his three daughters; Olivia Lamphere of Pennsylvania, Sienna and Kaya Alexander of CT. He also leaves behind his Mother Vickie Lamphere, and his six siblings; Clayton Alexander Jr. of RI, Montana Lamphere, Chekesu Alexander, Patience Clarke, Justus Clarke, and Jacob Clarke (all from CT). He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.


A graveside service will be held at the Narragansett Indian Burial grounds on Feb 7, 2023 at 11:00 am followed by a 1:00 pm Coalition in the upper parking lot.

Our family would like to give special thanks to the Narragansett Indian Tribe, family & friends who provided support, prayers and comfort to us during these difficult times. We would also like to thank the Avery-Storti Funeral Home for their support & kindness.
