Rowland T. Peewee Sherman

Rowland T.“PeeWee” Sherman Sr., 82, of Highland Ave, passed away on January 15, 2014. He was the husband of the late Catherine “Kay” (Wright) Sherman. Beloved father of Rowlie Sherman and his wife Cheryl of CT, Kathy Racquer and her husband Bud of FL, Susan Mowbray and her husband Bill of NH, Ruth S. Reposa and her husband Peter of Narragansett, Fran Sherman of South Kingstown, Warren Sherman of Narragansett, Ted Sherman and his wife Juvy of Westerly; grandfather of fifteen, great grandfather of eighteen and loving companion of Diana Harrington. Born in Wakefield, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Tefft) Sherman and Rowland Lewis Sherman. Brother of Elizabeth “Dolly” Lillibridge, Carol McGovern, Gardiner Sherman, Sally Reposa, the late George Sherman, Neal Sherman and Emily Sherman Richards. Mr. Sherman was the proprietor of Sherman’s Garage for 50 years. He was also an Elks member for 32 years. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 p.m.
