Rose C. Schiano

Rose C. Schiano, “Aunt Rose”, 88 of South Kingstown, passed away July 14, after a brief illness. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Ortensio and Cecilia (Morgera) Schiano. Miss. Schiano was the office manager at Stop & Shop in Cranston for 25 years, retiring to The Village at Worden’s Pond to be with her family. Miss. Schiano loved her family, and was very generous to all her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed listening to music, cooking, holidays, entertaining and relaxing at the beach. She was a member of the Galilee Beach Club. Miss. Schiano is survived by a sister, Esther Saccoccio of Narragansett, as well as by a number of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late Vincent Schiano, Helen Schiano, Gilda Santilli, Corrine Zainyeh and Anna C. Fiore. A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 9 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Calling hours are omitted. Burial will be private.
