Rosalind Grossman

October 24, 1916 — November 2, 2009

Rosalind Grossman, 93, of Narragansett, RI, and formerly of Muskegon, MI, died Monday November 2nd. She was the wife of the late Herman Grossman. Born in Gallion, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Sarah (Haberman) Morgan. Mrs. Grossman was a principal in Grossman’s Department Store and she founded and operated a chain of women’s apparel stores across Michigan. She was a founding board member of the Muskegon Community College, a board member of the Tucson Community College, a Docent at the Tucson Museum of Art, she helped to found the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and while attending Ohio State University, she was a Beauty Queen. She is survived by three children; I. Michael Grossman of Narragansett, RI, Randy Grossman of San Leandro, CA, Jill Grossman of Grand Haven, MI; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
