Ronald Stanley Slusarski, 68, of Narragansett, RI, died on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at South County Hospital. Ron was born in New Britain, CT on February 2, 1944. He leaves behind his wife, Jill Elizabeth Slusarski; his daughters, Heidi Beth Marren of North Ft. Myers, FL and Holly Britt Fuscaldo of Wakefield, RI and his brother John Slusarski of Newington, CT and he loved spoiling his grandson Ryan Charles Fuscaldo. Ron was an avid Boston Whaler owner. He enjoyed going fast in his 30' Killer Whale. He loved sitting on his deck on salt pond looking at the boat parade, as he called it. He proudly retired as Lt. Colonel from the U. S. Army where he received many medals of commendation. He retired as a mechanical engineer from Assa Abloy. Over the course of his professional career he aquired many patents. He received the Distinguished Engineering award and the Alonzo G. Decker, Jr. Annual Community Sevice award. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Friends of Plum Beach Lighthouse, PO Box 198, North Kingstown, RI 02852.Gathering hours will be held on Thursday, September 13th from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 14th at 11:00 am both at the Slusarski home.
