Ronald A. Lavey

Ronald A. Lavey, 72, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 21, at home, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Arruda) Lavey for 48 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of Eunice (Johnson) Lavey and the late James Lavey. Mr. Lavey was employed at the University of Rhode Island, prior to retiring. He was an active Baseball Coach as well as the President of the South Kingstown Little League for many years where he touched the lives of many people. Mr. Lavey was a MINI Car enthusiast who was active in many of the North East MINI Clubs. He travelled over a 100,000 miles in his MINI accompanied by his loving wife and beloved dogs. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Casey Lavey and loving wife Dori of Dayville, CT; two grandchildren, Stella Lavey and Cooper Lavey, both of Dayville, CT; a brother James Lavey II and Wife Kathrine of West Greenwich, RI; and a sister, Janice Pearson and husband Robert of Jamestown, RI.
