Ronald Brown

Ronald Otis Brown, 70 of Wakefield passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2024. He was the son of the late Otis Brown and Mary Elizabeth (Healy) Brown and brother to the late Brian Brown. Ron graduated from South Kingstown High School and took classes at the University of Rhode Island. He worked for Weatherking Pools and then at Electric Boat in Groton for over 35 years.

Ron enjoyed living in South County by the water. He loved boating, kayaking, fishing and spending time with family and friends. His friends and family affectionally nicknamed him “Captain Ron”. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a story to tell. He loved watching sports and supported the local home teams, the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics.

Ron leaves behind his son Christopher Brown and his wife Heather and daughter Jessica Greene and her husband Bryan. He also leaves behind four grandchildren Austin, Megan, William and Sophia.

Calling hours will be held on Friday December 6th from 4pm-6pm in Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI.

Ron was a supporter of many charities, but his favorite was supporting animals in need.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Kingstown animal shelter.
