Ronald W. Anderson

Ronald W. Anderson, 75, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2008 at Pine Grove Health Center in Pascoag. He was the beloved husband of Elaine E. (Capraro) Anderson. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Roy and Ethel (Granger) Anderson. A graduate of Providence College in 1955, Ron also served in the US Army Reserves for 18 years. Ron was a Certified Public Accountant at the firm of Christiansen and Company for 22 years and Ernst and Winnie for two years before opening his own practice, Management Advisory Services, which he tirelessly ran for 22 years before his sudden illness. Of his many interests, Ron enjoyed boating, tennis, running, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was passionate about his profession and was always available to provide advice on all things accounting. Besides his wife of 51 years he was the loving father of four children Ronald A. and his wife Mary-Beth Anderson of Warwick, Kenneth W. and his wife Annie Anderson of Narragansett and James M. and his wife Barbara Anderson of South Kingstown; a daughter, Susan E. Haverly of South Kingstown; a brother Richard Anderson of Warwick and devoted grandfather of nine grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 PM in the AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fisherman’s Mission, P.O. Box 459 Narragansett, RI 02882 or Pine Grove Health Center Activities Fund, 990 South Main St., Pascoag, RI 02859.
