Roland A. Reich, 87, currently of Scalbrini Village, North Kingstown. , passed away Saturday, December 12th. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Amalie) Reich for 58 years. Born in Astoria, Queens, Roland resided in Flushing and East Hampton, NY and Wakefield, RI. He was a son of the late Anton and Amalie (Huber) Reich. Roland was employed by New York Telephone for 42 years. As a son of a master carpenter, he was always building or carving pieces of art, including award winning duck decoys. His other passion was fishing, one that he passed along to his sons Robert (Lori) of Montauk, NY and Richard (Linda) of Narragansett, RI. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Robert, Christopher, Jennifer and Thomas and one great grandchild: Christopher Robert. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to East Hampton Village Ambulance Association 1 Cedar St, East Hampton, NY, 11937 would be appreciated.
