Roberta Theresa Stromberg, 79, of Wakefield, passed away on Friday June 8, 2018. She was the beloved wife and soulmate of 48 years to Richard E. Stromberg. Born in New London, CT, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Gertrude (Huard) Taylor. Mrs. Stromberg enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Stromberg worked payroll for the Metropolitan Airport Authority and will be remembered as the office manager for IBEW Local Union 99 from 1972-1985. Besides her husband she is survived by four children, Patricia E. Welsh and her husband Thomas of Maryland, Mary-Anne Campbell and her husband Paul (Lt. PPD, Ret.) of Wakefield, Donna J. Patalano and her husband Dr. V. James, II of Winchester, MA, and Donald E. Jalbert, Jr. and his wife Amy of Kansas; step children Kathleen (Stromberg) Lewis and her husband Jeff of New Hampshire, Janet Vanasse and her husband Paul of Lincoln, RI, and Kimberly (Stromberg) Murry and her husband Joseph of Lincoln, RI; seven grandchildren, two brothers, and her beloved cat "Sheldon". A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11am at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
