Robert Taylor

February 7, 1948 — December 6, 2020

Well, I finally did it. If you’re reading this, it is because my time here is done. I have moved on to greener pastures. Surrounded by the love of family and friends, I passed away in the early morning hours of December 6th. Only son of Eliot and Mary Taylor, I leave behind my loving wife Penny, my son Michael Taylor and his wife Jennifer in Connecticut, my children through marriage, sons Christopher McCarthy in California, Eric McCarthy and his wife Lynne in Colorado, Alex McCarthy and his wife Kerrilyn in Massachusetts, and my daughter Heather McCarthy in Rhode Island. I also leave behind my adored grandchildren Ben and Lindsey Taylor, Hunter McCarthy and my great niece Lauren Dabratz. I was also predeceased by some of my dearest companions who gave me nothing but unconditional love: my dogs Lady and Scruffy, and my cats Jack, Macy, and Zim. I lived a full life. My career as owner of a consulting business allowed me to travel the world and serve clients in more than 15 countries around the globe. I’d ask that you remember me as someone who embraced life, enjoyed the company of family and friends, and who cherished my time on Great Island, Block Island and my boats. So, in closing, I say thank you to those dearest to me for being such a wonderful part of my life. I hope you enjoy your memories of our times together with a smile and a laugh. It’s been a heck of a run! Until we meet again. Bobby T. There will be a private service for the family. Donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island, PO Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880.
