Robert E. Steinhilber

Robert E. Steinhilber, 86, of Narragansett, passed away Thursday, January 27th. Born in Troy, NY on October 4, 1935 to the late Edward and Helen (Olsen) Steinhilber. He was the beloved husband to the late Mary Dolores Steinhilber. Robert retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He served during the Vietnam and Korean wars. Robert is survived by his son Paul E. Steinhilber and his wife Suzanne of Warwick; daughter Betsy Amlaner of Narragansett; grandchildren Jacob Neal, Abigail Steinhilber, Kevin Amlaner, Karen Amlaner, Kristen Roebuck,13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gail Connor of Queensbury, NY. A wake will be held on Tuesday, February 1st from 4-7 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will take place on Wednesday, February 2nd at 10:30 a.m. in Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
