Robert M. Souza

Robert (Bob) M. Souza Sr,, 85 of Narragansett, passed away on June 20, 2025. He was the son of the late Manuel and Matilda (Texteira) Souza and survived by his brother Donald Souza (Diane). Bob was the beloved husband of Helen (Kane) Souza for 63 years.

Bob graduated from South Kingstown High School. He worked in the home heating business for many years as an oil service technician for M&M/Buckley. Bob was also a callman for the Narragansett Fire Department for many years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Bruins. He spent many years coaching his children and others for the Narragansett Little League. After retiring he spent many seasons watching his own grandchildren play sports.

He will be sadly missed by his wife and children, Robert M Souza Jr. (Jennifer), Mary E. Stiller (John), Michael D. Souza (Kristin), Gregory J. Souza and his six grandchildren,Padraic, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Lauren and Bennett.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 25th from 5-7 pm at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 26th at 10 am at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett with burial to follow at St. Ann Cemetery, 72 Church Street, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
