Robert “Snapp” Senape, 64, of South Kingstown passed away on November 13, 2024. He was the son of the late Robert G. Senape and Anna (Scolardi) Senape. He was born in Providence on September 26, 1960, and was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island.
After graduating from high school in Warwick, one of his earliest jobs was at Eagle Tool Company. His latest work was collecting scrap metal as part of RCB Scrappers.
He was known to his family as Bob and to his friends as Snapp. He loved the beach and could not be persuaded to move from the area - nor even to travel much out of the state despite many attempts by others to convince him that he’d enjoy visiting them.
He loved sports and played softball for years. A lifelong New England sports fan, he was quick to recall a game or a stat and had fun following those teams with friends.
His other passion was music. He had attended countless rock concerts. He could look at an old ticket stub and tell you all about any concert he attended - who opened for the headliner, what the show was like, the special effects, and who he went with. He looked back with fond memories on all the shows he attended, and was happy to share those memories.
Bob leaves behind several cousins and a multitude of friends that were like family to him. He was always willing to lend a hand to help others. He had a quick smile, a gravelly voice and an infectious laugh that will long be remembered.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10 am to 11 am in Avery- Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St in Wakefield, RI. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am.
