Robert J. Richard

Robert J. Richard, 75, Wakefield, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Marie (Christoff) Richard. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Cruz) Richard. Mr. Richard was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean conflict. He worked as a shipfitter for General Dynamics in Groton, CT and Quincy, MA, a mechanic for Fred Smith Dodge and worked in security for the Port Authority at Electric Boat Quonset. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and his Bible study. He was the father of Robin J. Chorlton of Saunderstown, Karen A. Badway of Westerly, Dawn M. Taffurelli of West Palm Beach, FL and Christopher J. Richard of Lexington, VA; grandfather of Emily and Philip Rattenni, Stephanie and Robert Booth and brother of John Richard. Services will be private.
