Robert J. Pavao

Robert J. Pavao aka “CAPT Backhoe”, 70, of Wakefield entered into rest on March 15 2021 after a prolonged illness. He was the beloved husband of Beth Alison Chappell Pavao and father of Jody A. Weinreich. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren Madison Dale and Christopher John Weinreich who loved him very much. He was also survived by his sister Sally Johanson, brothers William and Jimmy McEneaney and many nieces and nephews. Bob was born in East Providence on February 15, 1951 to John and Sally Agnew Pavao. He graduated from East Providence High School. Bob enjoyed a long career operating heavy machinery for both Town of South Kingstown and various private companies. He was also a machinist at Electric Boat in Quonset. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family and working on the family grounds in East Matunuck. He loved boating on his wooden skiff and spending time on Potter pond with his family, friends and dogs. A private service will held for Bob on Thursday March 18.
