Robert Thomas Mellor

Robert T. Mellor, 92, of Wakefield, died Saturday, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Anna (Ruggieri) Mellor. Born in Wakefield, he was a son of the late Frederick and Mary (Oatley) Mellor. Mr. Mellor was employed by the J. Arvid Johnson Construction Company for many years. He served proudly with the US Navy Seabees during WW II in the South Pacific, and became an avid supporter of the Seabee Museum in Quonset. Mr. Mellor also a member of the Little Rhody Model A Club. He is survived by three children, Robert T. Mellor, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Coventry, Pamela Deslorieux and her husband Rubi of Dallas, TX, and Stephen Mellor of Washington, DC; six grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Renata, Katie, Gregory, Kingsley, Kaleb, and Alysha; a great-grandson, Ethan Robert; and a brother, Paul Mellor of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late David Mellor. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
