Robert J. May

Robert J. May, 71 of Wakefield, died Sunday, September 30th. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Weedall) May for 29 years. Born in Bristol, CT, he was a son of the late Stanley and Nellie (Jackson) May. Mr. May was employed by the General Motors Company for more than 30 years, retiring as a supervisor. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, bird watching, playing golf, was a very active member of St. Augustine Church in Kingston and he honorably served in the United Sates Army. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Kelly Stevens of Bristol, CT; two grandchildren, Sean Stevens of Eureka, CA and Kyle Stevens of Stillwater, OK; a brother John May and his wife Sally of Coventry, CT, and their children Tiffany Itsou and her husband Steven of CT, and Bryan May and his wife Kathleen of CT; a sister-in-law, Beverly Vanvoorhis and her husband Richard of Newington, CT; and nephews, Robert Trapp and his wife Maria of Andover, CT, and Ryan Longo and his wife Tina of Colchester, CT. Funeral services are private and burial will take place in Newington, CT, at a later date.
