Robert G. Jones

April 2, 1935 — September 22, 2023

Robert G. (“Bob”) Jones, 88, of South Kingstown, passed away on Friday, September 22nd. He was born in Warwick, Rhode Island to the late Evan and Gertrude “Geri” (Jerome) Jones. He was the devoted husband of the late G. Marie (Merrill) Jones for 64 years.


Bob loved fishing on the ocean in Rhode Island on his boat with friends, working out and socializing at the “Y”, walking on the beach, and giving to others. Bob graduated with a BSA from Bryant College in 1956 and served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army before his successful career in sales management.


Bob is survived by his three children; Sharon Marie Redding of Clermont, FL, Diane Elaine Jones of Northampton, MA, and Randolph Gerald Jones of Boston, MA. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Taylor Marie Redding and Matthew Edward Redding.


A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 11:00 am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI. Burial to follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter.
