Robert W. Gershkoff

Robert W. Gershkoff, 67, of Narragansett, RI passed away on Saturday, September 2nd. Robert was the beloved father of Julia and Alexander and the late Nicholas Gershkoff.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Collette and Robert Gershkoff. Bob was happiest on the water and outdoors with his children. He retired as a Network Administrator from the Rhode Island Department of Health. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Management Information Systems. Bob was an avid fan of the URI Men’s Basketball Team and the Boston Celtics. He was passionate about the environment and social justice. Robert liked to keep current with news and politics and taught us all how to be an informed citizen.

Besides his children, Robert leaves behind his six siblings: Maggie Rheinstein (Clark Rheinstein), Anne Bowman (Bruce Bowman), Frank Gershkoff (Dawn Gershkoff), Collette Coleman (Doug Coleman), Dennis Gershkoff (Debbie Tetreault), Tom Gershkoff and 13 nieces and nephews and six grand nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6th from 10am-11am followed by a memorial service beginning at 11am, at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI. Brightly colored attire welcomed. Burial will be private.
