Robert F. Gagne, Usn Ret.

Robert F. Gagne, USN Ret., 84, of Narragansett, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Brown) Gagne. Born in Tewksbury, Mass, he was the son of the late Louis and Alice (Tremblay) Gagne. Bob served twenty years in the United States Navy working as an aviation structural mechanic and a Navy recruiter, retiring as Chief Petty Officer. Bob also worked for twenty-two years as a sexton at St. Thomas More Church before retiring. Bob enjoyed playing golf 5 days a week and any chance he could get! He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family. He was the loving father of April Silvestro and her husband Steven, Robert Hollifield and his wife Kim, Michael Gagne and his wife Chris and the late Matthew Gagne; loving grandfather of Alec, Blake (Adrienne), Blair (Tucker), Brook (Hunter), Alex and Josh; great grandfather of Miles and Warren. He was the brother of the late Louis P. Gagne Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10:00am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Thomas More Church.
