Robert J. Fuerst, 95, of Kingston, RI, went to be with Jesus His Savior on May 27, 2019. He was bom in Vienna, Austria and survived the Holocaust as a teenager. After the war was over, he immigrated to New York City and became a successful businessman for many years before getting his Masters Degree in Social Work and becoming a Family Counselor. He was married for 67 years to Susie who died seven years earlier. They traveled extensively throughout the world and lived in Montana for 18 years to be near one daughter before moving to Rhode Island to be near their other daughter. He is survived by his two daughters, Judie (Lospaluto) of Kingston and Kathy (Fraser) of Kalispell, Montana and by grandchildren Ryan, Jamie, Seth, Anaka, David, and Megan, as well as 8 (soon 9) great grandchildren and his very special caretakers Sally Sainsbury and Jack (Chakri) Kuakumjad. The family is grateful to the many caretakers and Hope Hospice who provided loving care during Bob's last years. Bob was an avid reader and spoke several languages. He loved traveling, art, classical music, bird watching and dogs. Bob touched many lives with his wisdom and caring personality. He will be missed greatly by his family and his friends around the globe.
