Robert E. Etchells, 77, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and his companion Cody on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. He was the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart Margaret A. “Peggy” (White) Etchells for 57 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Elmer and Florence (Cardinal) Etchells. Mr. Etchells was the founder of R & E Creations, Inc.; past president of Old Time Fiddlers and past president of Clusters Hot Rod Club. He enjoyed every minute of his life with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved to restore his antique cars and playing his fiddle with his many friends. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Robert E. Etchells, II and his wife Marisa of Hope Valley and William Etchells of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Jarrod M. Fletcher, Hollie H. Jones and Sara M. Sherwood; four great grandchildren, Shelby A. and Kenny H. Jones and Braiden M. and Lilly Mae Sherwood; a brother, Russell Etchells of Coventry and brother-in-law, John White of Los Angeles, CA. He was the brother of the late Elmer Etchells, II and Elsie Donley. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015, from 2-5 pm with a funeral service at 5 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
