Robert Gary Davis

Robert “Gary” Davis, 83, of Narragansett, passed away on Sunday, December 31. He was born in Newark, New Jersey to his loving parents, the late Paul and Dorothy (Birkbeck) Davis. Gary was the beloved husband to Geraldine (Cook) Davis and father to Susan Davis. Gary and Geraldine were married for 62 years.

Gary loved music, singing, books, fishing and the beach. In addition, he was a doting “dad” to 8 rescue dogs in his lifetime. He also had a strong connection and love for Prouts Neck, Maine where his family had a summer home.

Gary attended Colby College for his BA, and received Master’s degrees from Northeastern University-M Ed in Counseling and attended Andover Newton Seminary while a Minister to Youth in West Boylston, MA.

Gary lived most of his adult life in Marion, Massachusetts where he was a personnel manager and recruiter for various companies including Ocean Spray.

He is also survived by his sister Barbara Ann Hancock, and her children Arthur Bloete Menke and Sally Joy Robertson and their families. He is predeceased by his brother Paul “Scott” Davis.

A Celebration of Life will be on January 20, 2024 at the Kingston Congregational Church, Kingston, RI at 12:00 with a reception following the service.
