Robert (Bob) L. Crudele, Sr., 86, of Westerly, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, April 5, 2020. He was the husband of the late Claire L. (Lefebvre) Crudele. He was born in Cranston, son of the late Emilio and Cecilia (Montgrain) Crudele. He is survived by his children: Nancy Lyle of Lincoln, Diane Peters of Riverside, Debra Morgan of Westerly, Robert L. Crudele, Jr. and his wife Eileen of Narragansett, and Lynda Williams and her husband Evan of Wakefield; grandchildren Michael Lyle, Jr, Andrew Lyle, Zachary Peters, Jonathan Peters, Gregory Morgan, Nicole Morgan, Kyle Morgan, Shannon Morgan, Ingrid Williams, Jesse Williams, Abigail Crudele, and Aaron Crudele; brother of John (Jack) Crudele and Richard Crudele and his wife Claudia of Cranston. He was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Botello, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Crudele. Bob retired from the RI Carpenter’s Union and was a past Post Commander of the Tabor-Franchi VFW Post in Cranston. He loved to play golf and was particularly proud of his hole-in-one. He enjoyed playing games of all kinds, weekly trips to play bingo at Foxwoods, and traveling, especially cruising. Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Bob will be most remembered for his easy smile and big, infectious laugh. Interment and a celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date, due to the shelter in place order for the coronavirus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
