Robert Lee Considine

June 9, 1967 — August 2, 2024

Robert Lee Considine, Jr., 57, passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on August 2nd at South County Hospital. He is reunited in heaven with his mother, Anne Telfer Considine, and father, Robert L. Considine. He is survived by his former wife and mother to his children, Elizabeth (Azzinaro) Considine and their two sons, Liam and Seamus Considine. He also leaves behind his only sibling and sister-in-law, Jason Considine and his wife Stacey (Considine), a nephew, Logan Considine, a niece, Sydney Considine, his stepmother Anne P. Considine, and numerous cousins whom he loved very much.

Lee was a 1985 graduate of the Rocky Hill School in East Greenwich where he was a three-sport letterman in soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Following High School, Lee was accepted to Ashland College in Ohio on an athletic scholarship for lacrosse before transferring to Northeastern University where he graduated in 1991 with a degree in graphic design.

Lee was the owner of Term’s Restaurant in Narragansett in the mid to late nineties following the entrepreneurial spirit instilled by his father and love of cooking inspired by his mother. During his time there, he made significant contributions to the community supporting many local charities, organizations and sports teams. He loved sponsoring and providing food from his restaurant at the Annual Pier Plunge on New Year’s Day for the benefit of RI ARC at Narragansett Town Beach. He also valued the many friendships and relationships that he made at Term’s with his patrons and employees.

After moving on from the restaurant business, Lee spent many years working in construction and was employed by Yankee Flatworks before starting his own company Three Lion Concrete Construction. More recently, he was employed by Aetna Bridge and held various jobs in the landscape and masonry industry.

During his life and especially his childhood and early adulthood, Lee took great pleasure in cooking, traveling, painting, skiing and snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, fishing, boating, going on walks with his dogs, playing basketball, and more. He also enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, especially when it came to reggae music. In addition to his other interests and activities, Lee was an avid sports fan, particularly of URI Basketball, the New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics. He loved watching and going to games with his father, brother, cousins and friends, a tradition he would eventually carry on with his own family. After many years of sitting in his father’s seats at Patriots games, Lee became a season ticketholder when they moved into Gillette Stadium in 2002 and felt fortunate to experience so many great Patriots moments from the stands, including the four Super Bowls he attended in New Orleans, Houston, Jacksonville and Glendale, Arizona.

While Lee enjoyed so many great moments playing sports and following his favorite college and professional teams, the moments he treasured the most were the ones with his two boys, Liam and Seamus. Whether he was coaching youth sports or cheering on his sons’ teams, he made a long lasting and endearing impression on everyone involved. Like his mother and father, Lee welcomed his children’s friends and neighborhood kids into his childhood and lifetime home on Dockray for birthday parties, barbecues, sleepovers, holiday gatherings or just to hang out. Many kids thought of him as a second father, and everybody, especially the kids, loved and respected “Big Lee”.

Lee was a kind, generous and loyal friend to many, and he cherished every one of his friendships. While Lee was a great friend, he was an even better father, and his proudest accomplishment was raising his boys whom he loved with all his heart. They were his life and he idolized them both.
