R.N. Mary E. Rock

Mary E. (Fox) Rock, R.N., 89, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Rock. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late H. Raymond and Elizabeth H. (McWilliams) Fox. Mrs. Rock worked as the head nurse at Scalabrini Health Care Center for many years before retiring. She received her nursing degree from Salve Regina School of Nursing. She was the mother of Elizabeth Murphy, Virginia Winn, Susan Masson, Jane McAndrew, Joseph Rock Jr. and the late Carol Petiti; grandmother of seven and great grandmother of four. She was the sister of the late Paul, Raymond and William Fox, Jane Brady and Virginia Garvey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Romuald Chapel, 75 Atlantic Ave., Matunuck. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
