Rn Mary E. Curtis

Mary E. Curtis, RN, 84, of Narragansett Ave, Narragansett, died Tuesday at South County Hospital. She was the wife of Benjamin R. Curtis for sixty two years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Driscoll) Smythe. Mrs. Curtis was a graduate of RI Hospital School of Nursing. She had a long and varied nursing career, retiring from the Adeline LaPlante Center after many years. She was the mother of Michael C. Curtis of St. Albans, VT, Susan Curtis Meikle of Middletown and Jeffrey A. Curtis of Narragansett; grandmother of, Bethany Songer, Kathleen Coyle and Benjamin R. Curtis III and great grandmother of three. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be private.
