Dorothy Baldwin RN, wife for the past 69 years of John W. Baldwin, Sr. of Lincoln, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Dorothy was born in Barrington, Rhode Island on May 21, 1925. She was daughter of the late James and Mary Daley of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Dorothy was a graduate of Pawtucket West High School and Roger Williams School of Nursing where she served as a registered nurse until joining the private practice of Dr. Maurice Kay before leaving to start her family. Dorothy is survived by her children, John W. Baldwin, Jr. of Narragansett, James R. Baldwin (Deborah) of Narragansett and Robert N. Baldwin, Sr. of Southboro, MA. She was the loving grandmother to Robert N. Baldwin, Jr. (Neil), Daley Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin and Keelan Baldwin. Jody Baldwin Stone (Chad) of East Greenwich, John E. Baldwin (Marya) of Rumford and Jessica Baldwin Martin (Corey) of Narragansett; eight great grandchildren, Virginia, Vivian and Emerson Stone; Everett, Margaret and Amory Baldwin; Blythe and Dorothy Martin. Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter Joanne Baldwin Monahan. Dorothy was the sister of James Frederick Daley of Vermont and the late Hugh Daley of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a summer resident of Little Comfort Island in Narragansett since 1957. Dorothy was active in many bowling and golf leagues and was a former member of Kirkbrae Country Club and Point Judith Country Club. Funeral services are private. A mass celebrating her life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Meeting Street School, 1000 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02905.
