Rita R. Notarantonio (Dolce), 94, of Narragansett and formerly of North Providence, passed away peacefully Monday, November 25, 2024. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of the late Joseph A. Notarantonio, Sr. Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Domenico A. and Bianca T. (Campatelli) Dolce.
Rita loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by many. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church, North Providence for many years and in her later years at St. Thomas More, Narragansett. The family extends special thanks to the Brightview Commons Assisted Living staff and community for the exceptional love and care shown to Rita and her family for the past six years.
She is survived by her children, Elaine M. Notarantonio (Ralph J. Charello), and Joseph A. Notarantonio, Jr. (Lynn) both of Narragansett; four grandchildren, Derek J. Charello, (Ashley), Evan J. Charello, (Michelle), Joseph T. Notarantonio, (Hailey) and Kristen N. Hume (Steven) and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Elorie, Adelina & Beckett Charello, Steven Hume and Baby boy Notarantonio expected in April. She was the sister of the late Lydia R. Puerini.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, 9-11am, in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Church, noted for the Mother Teresa Fund for the Needy, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett, RI 02882 or a charity of your choice. Burial will be private.
