Richard "Rick" E. Walsh, Jr.

Richard E. Walsh Jr., 77, of Charlestown, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022. Born in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Leary) Walsh. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Gladding) Walsh, and they were married for 38 wonderful years.

Richard’s loved ones would describe him as loyal, kind, and a joy to be around. He graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Forestry. He worked hard as the manager of his family’s package store for many years. In his spare time, Richard loved spending time with his beautiful family, a good book, experiencing nature, loving on his dogs, and catching a good Red Sox game. He also loved digging for quahogs, batting rocks on the beach, and spending time on Prudence Island.

Besides his beloved wife, Richard is survived by his children David, Daniel, and Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cause of your choice, such as mental health awareness, nature conservatories, or animal shelters.
