Richard "Rick" A. Hall

Richard "Rick" A. Hall, 70, of Block Island passed at South County Hospital on July 26, 2022. Growing up in Wakefield, Rick was a figurehead of its intramural softball league for years. Rick was also a lifelong seafarer having worked on a variety of fishing boats out of Point Judith, RI for decades. Living on Block Island for over thirty years, when he wasn't doing a transient trip, he was fishing the north rip for Striped Bass. He was also an avid hunter and hunted White Tail Deer on the island with his father, Silas Hall. Rick is survived by his Stepmother, Mayfair Hall of North Kingstown, Sister, Tammy Hall of Narragansett, Brother, William Hall of Tennessee, Niece's Briette Johnson of Charlestown, Nissa Paull of Charlestown, Acacia Hall of Charlestown, Shiloh Johnson of Narragansett and Alexandra Hall of Providence. Nephew's Joshua Johnson of Moosup, CT, Bryce Johnson of East Greenwich, and Bennett Hall of New York. Rick is preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Gilbert of Bradenton, FL, Father, Silas Hall of East Greenwich, Stepfather James Gilbert of Bradenton, FL, and Brother, Dennis Hall of South Kingstown. There will be a private celebration of life on Block Island followed by a service at sea at a later date.
