Richard E Pierce

Richard E. Pierce Sr., 81, of Westcastle Way, Charlestown, passed away Wednesday April 25, 2012. Born in North Kingstown, he was the son of the late Angelo F. and Mary E. (Warner) Pierce. Mr. Pierce was a Resource Manager at the Perryville Trout Hatchery for the State of RI DEM for thirty eight years before retiring. He was a member of the Perryville Bible Church where he enjoyed cutting the grass and also enjoyed smoking his pipe. He was the father of Donna L. Burns of Ledyard, CT, Ann M. Shaw of Charlestown, William E. Pierce of Wakefield and Richard E. Pierce Jr. of Charlestown; and grandfather of four. He was the brother of the late William E. Pierce, Paul O. Pierce and Bertha M. Cahoon. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 am in New Fernwood Cemetery, Rt. 138, Kingston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
