Richard Alan Parenti

Richard Alan Parenti, 68, of South Kingstown, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was the husband of Linda (Applegate) Parenti. Born in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, son of Ann (Hey) Parenti and the late Anthony Parenti. Richard was a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and received his Masters degree in Labor Relations from West Virginia University. He was a Regional Director at NECA where he had worked for over 40 years before retiring. He enjoyed the beach, crossword puzzles, spending time with his grandchildren, and was an avid sports fan. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his children Jennifer Parenti and her husband Michael Mahoney, Jonathan Parenti and his wife Mary Robbins, and Justin Parenti; grandchildren Olivia, Brynn, and Colin Mahoney; siblings Anthony "Butchie" Parenti, Debbie Salvo, and Susan Sacco. A funeral service will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11am in Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia St, Peace Dale, Rhode Island. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 6-8pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, Rhode Island.
