Richard Hurley

Richard L. Hurley, 62, of Charlestown passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 26th. Born in Providence, RI to his parents the late Richard, and surviving Charlene (Johnston) Hurley. He was the devoted husband to Bambi (Monahan) Hurley for 37 years. He is survived by his wife Bambi, his mother Charlene Hurley, sister Susan Hurley, daughter Acacia Drake, granddaughter Aria Martin, and Billie jo Amos and her daughters.

Richard worked for Quonset power plant for 25 yrs until they closed, then moved on to Cab Co. and Frank I. Rounds co. He was a proud member of the South Kingstown Elks 1899 and a member of Downey Weaver Post #34. In his younger years he was a motorcycle enthusiast.

A service with military honors will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 10 am, at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery 301 S. County Trail, Exeter, 02822.
