Richard Hall Hosp, 72, passed away at home in Weekapaug on December 11, 2014, surrounded by love. He graduated from the Hackley School, Tarrytown, New York; Brown University, Providence, RI; and received his MBA from Pace University, New York City, where he also taught as an Adjunct Professor. He was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Warrington during the Vietnam War. He was an Executive Vice President in the advertising and retail industries in New York, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and Chicago, Illinois. After retiring to their home on Quonochontaug Pond in 1999, he served the community in numerous capacities including being on the Charlestown Town Council, Charlestown Budget Committee, Chariho Finance Committee, Chariho Charter Revision Committee, and Boards of Directors of South County Habitat for Humanity and Nope's Island Conservation Association and Board of Trustees of Dunn’s Corners Community Presbyterian Church. He is survived by Martha, his wife of nearly 50 years; his son Ted and daughter- in- law Alison, and their children Andrew, Jordan, James and Knox; his son David and daughter- in- law Joanie, and their children Reid and Samantha. He is also survived by his two sisters, Joan Forst and Priscilla Lambert, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will have a small private tribute to him on Saturday, December 13th and a Memorial Service celebrating his life will be scheduled for early summer 2015. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Dunn's Corners Community Presbyterian Church, the Westerly Hospital Foundation, or Salt Ponds Coalition.
