Richard John Davis

Richard John Davis, 74, of Charlestown, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harry and Doris (Ferri) Davis. He was the beloved husband of Lynn (Paglia) Carruolo Davis. Richard served as a Constable in the state of Rhode Island for over 40 years. He was a member of the RI Independent Constable Association, RI Teamsters Local 251, and the Fraternal Order of Police Warwick Lodge #7. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed yardwork, making limoncello, and rooting for the New York Yankees. Besides his wife, Richard is survived by his stepchildren Richard Catone of Tampa, FL, Christina M. Carruolo of Boyton Beach, FL, Joseph D. Carruolo of Cranston, RI; his sister Gail M. Jones of Cranston, RI; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Anne Paglia; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joseph and Brandy Paglia; many nieces and nephews; many close friends; and his beloved Shih Tzu Pepé. He was the brother of the late Carol Engel of Block Island. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 from 9:30am to 11am, followed by a prayer service at 11am, in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI 02879. Burial will be private.
