Richard H. Dick Coyle

December 1, 1929 — January 4, 2013

Richard H. (Dick) Coyle, formerly of 150 Staniford Street, died Friday January 4th in Bristol Rhode Island. Born in Dorchester, MA he was the son of the late Theodore G. and Mary Alice (Fitzgerald) Coyle. He was raised in Detroit MI. He attended the Detroit University School and received a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Communication at Northwestern University in 1952. During the Korean Conflict he was a member of the US Army. Mr. Coyle devoted his professional life to newsprint sales and was associated with the International Paper Company, Georgia Pacific, Great Northern Nekoosa, Bowater and Boise Cascade paper companies. He is survived by two sisters: Mary H. Kahn of San Francisco, CA and Kathleen C. Ryan of Barrington, RI; as well as ten nephews and nieces and seven grand-nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Alice C. McDonald of Canton MA A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday January 7th at St. Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington, RI. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Wildcat Fund, Northwestern University, Office of Alumni Relations and Development, 1201 Davis Street. Evanston, IL 60208 in Dick’s name would be appreciated.
