Reginald “Reggie” Hill, 80, of Charlestown, died Tuesday at the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol. He was the beloved husband of the late Janice L. (Mars) Hill. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Wilton and Sarah (Hazard) Hill. Mr. Hill was employed for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for over 40 years, retiring in 1995, and had also worked for the Bonanza Bus Lines Company. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by five daughters, Gina Hill of Warwick, Sylvia Hill of Cranston, Sarah Hill of Newport, Rhonda Hill of Newport, and Maija Fayerweather of Charlestown; three sons, Reginald Hill of Newport, Raymond Hill of Providence, and Ronald Hill of Newport; two step-sons, Rodney Hopkins of Peace Dale and Donald Hopkins, Jr. of Ashaway; a sister, Jean Pinkney of Boston, MA. He was the father of the late Nina Stanley and brother of the late Wilton, Robert, Edwin and Raymond Hill. A committal service with military honors will take place at 10 AM, Saturday February 23rd in the Columbarium Chapel at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
