Raymond John Wolfe

Raymond J. Wolfe, age 73, died peacefully listening to Bob Dylan surrounded by those closest to him at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 21, 1946 to Robert Wolfe and Margaret (Nagy) Wolfe. A Rhode Island resident for over fifty years, Ray cherished every moment walking in the woods, bird watching, kayaking rivers, and making his friends and family laugh. Ray proudly worked as an arborist and sign-maker in the Public Works Department of the Town of Narragansett for many years. He is survived by brother Robert Wolfe of Texas, sister Mary Ellen Wolfe of Texas, sister Patricia Murray of New Jersey, life partner Judith Silvia Nelson of North Kingstown, and daughter Erica Nyden of Oregon. Close friends and relatives will be notified of a Celebration of Life at a later date.
