Raymond O. White, Sr.

Raymond O. White, Sr., 89, of Wakefield, died Thursday, September 26, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Julia (Whaley) White for seventy one years. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Oscar and Edna (Northup) White. Mr. White was employed by the Town of South Kingstown for many years before retiring in 1972. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida with his wife. Besides his wife he leaves four children, Julia Reynolds of Richmond, Raymond White, Jr. of South Kingstown, Carol Adams of South Kingstown, and Robert White of Charlestown; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Arthur White and Eleanor Laurie. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery.
