Raymond Oscar White, Jr.

Raymond O. White, Jr., 68, of Wakefield, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018. He was the husband of Eleanor (Tarbox) White for 49 years. Born in South Kingstown, a son of the late Raymond O. White, Sr. and Julia May (Whaley) White. Raymond was a highway supervisor for the Town of South Kingstown, Public Works Department, for 37 years before retiring in 2006. He was an avid golfer and bowler; enjoyed spending winters in Florida and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Wendy M. Collins and Raymond O. White, III and his wife Millie both of Westerly; five grandchildren, Ryan and Devon Collins, Raymond O. White, IV, Alex and Amy White; two sisters, Julia M. Reynolds of Richmond and Carol L. Adams of Wakefield and his brother, Robert P. White of Wakefield. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, 10 -11 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 11 am.
