Raymond F. Lessard

Raymond F. Lessard, 86, of Wakefield, passed away Monday, September 5th. Born in Hope Valley, he was a son of the late Wesley and Elizabeth (Silvia) Lessard. Mr. Lessard retired from Mercer Transportation and before that he was employed at New England Telephone for over 20 years. He served honorably in the United Sates Army during the Korean Conflict and he spent his life with a camera in his hand. He is survived by a son, Wray T. Lessard and his wife Heidi of Wakefield; a daughter, Laura Powdrell of North Bridge, MA; and two grandchildren, Megan Lessard and Benjamin Lessard and his wife Megan. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Caswell, Wesley Lessard, and Alice Johnson. Visiting hours will be Monday, September 12th from 10:00 – 11:00 am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, followed by a committal service with military honors at 11:30 am in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
