Raymond S. Carr

Raymond S. Carr, 79, of Peace Dale, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018. He was the husband of Anne A. Carr. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Frank Martin Carr and Harriet Sherman Carr. Ray served honorably in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He worked at Dry Bridge Sand & Gravel in North Kingstown and Harris Graphics in Connecticut. He was a member of the Church of God as well as on the board of trustees. He was also on the South Kingstown Economic Development Committee and a part of the Massachusetts Lobster Association. Ray was an avid fisherman and hunter, he especially loved to take his grandsons out hunting and fishing with him. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Kirsten Ann Maar of Peace Dale, grandsons David C. Maar of New York and Tyler A. Maar of Peace Dale; sisters Mary Rice of South Kingstown and Jean Stutz and her husband Eric of Port Charlotte, FL, a sister in law Patricia Austin of East Greenwich and several nieces and nephews.
