Randy L. Matteson

Randy L. Matteson, 49, of Westerly, formerly of South Kingstown, passed away Tuesday July 16, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Anne (Grimes) Matteson. Born in Westerly, he was the son of Alfred and Jean (Hopkins) Matteson. Randy worked as an Information Systems Technician for Schneider Electric for many years. Randy was a devoted family man and a cheer dad. He was an avid golfer a longtime participant in the Pilkington Memorial Golf Tournament. He was the devoted father of Joell and Alisha Matteson; brother of Kevin Matteson, Alfred Matteson Jr., Kathy Garlick, Timothy Matteson, Steven Matteson, Barry Matteson, Terrie Straight and David Matteson. He was predeceased by a sister, Lorrie Matteson. A celebration of his life will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield.
